ICF, Indian Cotton Federation formerly known as SICA, The South India Cotton Association is a premier organization representing the Textile Industry, Cotton Brokers & Cotton Growers of India. ICF has developed cotton Model Farm at its farm land to give field demonstration to cotton Farmers on the use of quality seed & inputs and the modern cotton farm management methods to get quality cotton and maximum yield. We also promote and co-ordinate contract farming for the benefit of farmers/mills. ICF earnestly takes up problems of cotton farmers and cotton trade with the government and private agencies for progressive solutions. Late Shri G.K. Sundaram, Chairman and Managing Director of The Laskhmi Mills Company Ltd was our Founder and Emeritus president who guided the association to its full growth.

  • ICF is registered as a Society under the Tamil Nadu Societies Act, 1975.
  • Member of the Tamil Nadu State Cotton Council & BT Cotton Survey Committee of Tamil Nadu.
  • Member of the Indian Council of Arbitration – sponsored by The Ministry of Commerce Government of India.
  • Member of the Cotton Advisory Board (CAB) – Govt., of India.
  • Participated in WTO survey on cotton development.
  • Co-ordinate and arranges Inter & Intra Continental Cotton related Business meetings with USDA, CCI,-USA, Australian

  • Cotton Association, Chinese Cotton Association. etc,.
  • Part of the Government of India delegation who participated in the deliberations at the 61st Plenary session of the ICAC, held at Cairo during October 2002 & 63rd Plenary Meeting of ICAC was held at Mumbai during Nov-Dec 2004. The 64th plenary meeting of ICAC was held at Liverpool, UK in September 2005, 65th Plenary Meeting of ICAC was held at Brazil in September 2006 and also the 66th Plenary Meeting held in October 2007 in Turkey. We continue to be member of the govt.of India delegation for the ICAC Plenary Meeting. During 74th Plenary meeting held in Mumbai our Hon. Secretary Shri Atul P Asher participated as the member of the govt.of India delegation for 75th Plenary Meeting also which will be held in Pakistan. Our Hon.Secretary Shri Atul P Asher was nominated to be the member of govt.of delegation.
  • As part of our activity we started organising All India Cotton Conference since the year 2012 at Coimbatore jointly with ICAL Bathinda. The third conference was held in 4th conference Aug’ 2018, 5th conference Aug 2022. This was well participated by stake holder of cotton trade and industries across India and at global level.
